INTRODUCING RENEGADE MARMALADE

Let me introduce you to Renegade Marmalade; a wonderful boutique and online shop based in Manchester. 

The boutique was founded on a frustration with the dominance of high street retailers and the limited opportunity for women to express an adventurous and individual sense of style. In order to do so, the people behind Renegade Marmalade decided to feature unusual and exciting labels. And it so happens that quite a few of them are some of my favourite when it comes to both clothing and jewelry. PASTEL GREEN

I am kind of obsessing a little bit over Chrissy Teigen's outfit here.

She has got the perfect essential basics down; the white low-cut t-shirt, skinny jeans and a minimalistic, black bag.

Chrissy adds her own little personal twist with a gorgeous pastel green blazer, a messy bun, a simple gold chain and an enormous rock on her finger (you did good, John Legend!).

An outfit which is definitely going in my 'summer' inspiration folder.

TRF LOOKBOOK MAY 2012

Shades of white and washed out neon colours dominate Zara's TRF lookbook for May.

I am definitely not complaining as white on white is one of my absolute favourite trends this season, and with a bold splash of colour you're ready to meet the summer in style.

MERMAID BLUES

One of my favourite trends for the S/S 2012 season is the "Under The Deep, Blue Sea" trend.

Sequins, pearls, sand, ocean, long body hugging dresses, wavy beach hair, bronzed skin.

This editorial in the May issue of Vogue Spain featuring Lily Donaldson and photographed by Alexi Lubomirski is one of the best mermaid inspired editorials I have seen yet.

WHEELS OF FIRE

One of my favourite Scandinavian magazines is the Danish magazine, Cover.

I always find their editorials to be so inspiring. 

Especially the ones where they use a lot of contrasts, such as in this one.

Love the tough Martin Maison Margiela leather jacket teamed with the sheer, sexy shirt by Helmut Lang in the third photo.

Also, that Isabel Marant dress with those kick ass biker boots is just amazing!

COFFEE & FASHION

Hi everyone! 

I am so sorry for the lack of posts lately. My days and weeks are craaaazy right now.

After I got home from Rome, I began working as a fashion journalist for a monthly paper here in Norway.

Combining this job with full-time studies is demanding, but I am loving it. I need to keep myself busy all the time, and with the help of bucketloads of coffee, it all seems to magically come together .

However, the blog has suffered quite a bit, but I am slowly but surely, coming back to my daily routine of blogging again.

THE CAP

I haven't been the biggest fan of the cap trend, but after finding this photo, I am beginning to change my mind.

I am loving this combination of the cap, the length and colour of her hair, the earrings peeking out, and the coat thrown over her shoulders.
